Thought on Effective Training
Back in the day, growing up, I had a remarkably undistinguished academic career. This was due to many reasons, certainly lack of interest was a huge contributing factor, but I somehow managed to graduate from the finest schools in the State of Connecticut.
As I look back on my school days, I clearly suffered from “death by lecture” syndrome. The Talking Heads (a motley bunch) would drone on hour by endless hour on mostly subjects that I knew then I would never use in the “real world.”
My mind was numb from boredom. I felt beaten down. Then you would be expected to regurgitate the information back to them on a test. This was learning?
Going to school was a prison, something we had to endure with all of our might, and then one day it would end, and they would thankfully let us leave- never to return. I survived my educational experience. I had wasted so much time…
Our Upcoming Training Workshops
We’re determined that our attendees won’t suffer the same fate when we designed our training workshop format.
Our training is based on a “how to” meet FDA requirements format. That is, a combination of lecture and group activities that ENGAGE learners.
Our instructors are subject matter experts who are charged to make training an informative and fun (yes fun) experience.
Our learners will “roll up their sleeves” and participate in application exercises, that is, group activities that reinforce the key points made in the lecture portion of our format.
We could not totally eliminate lecture as a presentation method, but we aim to keep it at a minimum. In addition, our instructors insert a number of examples throughout the day in order to ensure that you can relate this information to your current job responsibilities.
Our company enKap is a play on words actually-engaged Knowledge application.
