Engaged. Knowledge. Application
Back when I owned the Institute of Validation Technology, I had numerous industry professionals serve as our company’s subject matter experts. They showcased their talents and demonstrated their expertise by presenting at our conferences and writing articles in our journals. They informed our audience and readership of industry professionals on numerous validation and GMP FDA compliance topics, and many times were rewarded by either performing lucrative consulting duties at client sites or moved onto better internal job positions at pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturers. It was a win-win for both us and them.
However, I also watched many small consulting firms struggle to consistently get new work after their assignment was completed with a particular client. Many said they couldn’t pursue new business while they were busy at a particular client’s site. If they were doing any marketing at all, it came to a halt.
Serving dual roles of salesperson and practitioner for their companies, they were caught in a Catch 22 no win situation. Marketing was intermittent and reactionary in nature-started again only at the conclusion of assignments- when they were looking for consulting work.
Or on the other hand, many industry professionals may have worked for a pharmaceutical or device manufacturer in a regulatory compliance or quality function for many years and due to industry consolidation, layoffs and employee reduction initiatives, they are newcomers to the consulting game and face stiff competition from fellow consultants. Their dilemma is that they simply don’t have any experience in effectively marketing themselves and their years of experience.
We think we can help industry professionals who face these and other marketing-related challenges.
So we’re sharing our marketing experience next week by sponsoring a complimentary webinar, “For GXP Consultants Only: Increasing Your Business-How to Effectively Market Yourself in FDA-Regulated Industry.” Tuesday, February 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. EST.
As someone who has successfully marketed our training events, journals and other informational products to professionals in FDA-regulated industry for many years, both at the Institute of Validation Technology and now at enKap, our goal is to arm attendees with information based on our tried and true marketing approach, common sense, to the point, multiple examples format.
In the world of social media where millions of business professionals are networking through websites, such as Linkedin and Facebook, marketing is a discipline that does not necessarily require thousands of dollars in financial investment, but does demand adequate time resources in order for attendees to begin the journey of increasing their marketing activities and completing their objectives.
Some of the critical questions that we’ll address include:
➢How do you effectively market yourself?
➢How do you separate yourself from the average consultant?
➢How do you market yourself as “the expert”
➢How do you ensure you have work consistently?
➢How do you use recommendations to your advantage?
➢How can you increase your word of mouth advertising?
➢How can you network more effectively?
➢How can you achieve a high “visibility factor”?
We’re EXCITED
About sharing the hard lessons that we have learned that come from making mistakes.
That industry professionals want to hear what we have to say on the subject next week.
About the opportunity to contribute to our industry’s knowledge base in a new subject matter area.
